2013 Palmaz Cabernet Sauvignon

Drank this wonderful cabernet along with a perfectly grilled Tomahawk steak (from Palmaz’s 100% Grass Fed Wagyu Beef Ranch subscription service). The wine was decanted for an hour before serving. The nose was opulent, with floral notes and chocolate, and the finish is long (20-30 seconds). It was absolutely delicious - still lots of black fruit and the tannins were balanced and refined from the aging. Could still age more.

2017 Kistler Vine Hill Chardonnay

Kistler is one of my favorite producers of California Chardonnay. I drank this 2017 Vine Hill Chardonnay drank with some friends paired with the righteous chicken dinner (from Food and Wine magazine). The wine was terrific - flavors were mostly apple and citrus, with a touch of oak. Truly amazing. Was ready to drink. full bodied.
