Grand Tour Series
Tour de France
Embark on a vinous journey across France, just like a Tour de France rider, through the country’s most celebrated wine regions. From the crisp Chablis of Burgundy and the elegant Pinot Noir of the Côte d’Or, to the bold Bordeaux blends and the sparkling grandeur of Champagne, each stop explores the unique grape varietals, terroirs, and traditions that define French wine. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) system and how centuries of history have shaped one of the world’s most revered wine cultures.
La Vuelta
Inspired by the Vuelta a España, this seminar showcases the breadth and character of Spanish wines from coast to coast. We’ll explore the renowned Tempranillo of Rioja, the powerful reds of Ribera del Duero, the rich Garnacha of Priorat, and the fresh Albariño of Rías Baixas. Along the route, you’ll learn about Spain’s Denominación de Origen (DO) and Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) systems, the influence of climate and geography, and how tradition and innovation blend in one of Europe’s most exciting wine scenes.
Giro d'Italia
Travel the length of Italy in the spirit of the Giro d’Italia, experiencing the extraordinary diversity of its wines. Beginning in the alpine vineyards of the north, with the Nebbiolo of Piedmont and Amarone of Veneto, we’ll journey south through the rolling hills of Tuscany, the volcanic soils of Campania, and the sun-soaked coasts of Sicily. Each stop introduces the native grape varietals, DOC/DOCG classifications, and centuries-old winemaking traditions that make Italian wine so distinctive. By the end, you’ll understand why Italy is the world’s most prolific and passionately diverse wine producer.
